Hanna was about to return when I finally caught on to thesituation. I heard the other waitress say somethin to Hanna and I looked over at that waitress and saw a scowl on her face.The cook said, "Now let's don't make a fuss", or something like that. Hanna said, "I'm waiting on him to make up his mind." (ouch!)Īt that point I had decided on a meal so I laid the menu on the counter, raised my hand and was about to say, "I'mready." Hanna, with a bit of irony involving the term 'waiting' immediately left the area and stood by the booth area near thebackroom door. I heard and saw him say to the back of Hanna's head, "whyshould you get a 15 percent tip for something I can do?" She said something in reply.Īnother waitress was standing about 5 feetoff to my right and she asked Hanna why she was just standing there. The cook was directly in front of me, maybe 4 feet away, facing me. Hanna stood just the other side of the counter, 2 feet off to my right. She did, and while I was looking at the menu I beganto hear what the workers were saying to one another. I appreciate eager, helpful service people but this seemed a little too abrupt. I took my seat and immediately a nice young lady (name tag: Hanna) askedme what I wanted. That didn't really sink into my mind, but afterward Irealized it had been a premonition of things to come. There were very few customers there and 3 waitresses and a cook standing around waiting to serve.īefore I could pause toconsider hopping up onto a bar stool, two waitress told me to sit. A few minutes later, I left in a very foul. The business like thing to do was to simply state that they apologize for the inconvenience but they arenot taking to go orders at this time. Their are several signs that hold norelevance to what is supposedly currently going on at that restaurant. However, when staff yells at me in a condescending manner. Was only 6 tables/ bar seats taken so for 2 waitresses, I feel a 30 minute wait to take an order is ridiculous.I usually have great service from this establishment in Mebane. Feel like I should mention that it wasn’t like the restaurant was slam packed either. I don’t expect a cook to come take my order but if there is 2 waitresses, why should I be forced to sit at a filthy table and why should I have to wait 30 minutes to place an order. The one waitress only seemed like she wanted to serve the customers in the “closed area” of the restaurant while the other just wanted to talk to her. We waited another 20 minutes and none of the 4 employees working had came to take our order, so we walked out. A second waitress then atleast asked us about what we wanted to drink. We waited 10 minutes just to get the table cleaned. Immediately one of the waitress told me that we couldn’t sit at the tables to the left side of the building, even though there was customers still eating over there and the other tables was absolutely filthy. ![]()
